In this guide
If you organise food for your workplace, you know the brief: it has to arrive on time, suit every diet in the room, keep facilities happy and still feel like a treat. This guide covers how Thai catering works for corporate events in London and Essex, from a working lunch for 30 to a summer party for several hundred.
Which events suit Thai catering?
- Office lunches and team days. Hot food instead of another sandwich platter, delivered or served on site.
- Training days and conferences. Lunch served to a fixed timetable so the agenda does not slip.
- Product launches and client receptions. Thai canapés handed round while guests network.
- Summer parties and family days. Food stations or our food van as part of the entertainment.
- Christmas and end-of-year parties. Warm curries and noodles instead of a third turkey dinner.
- Culture, diversity and wellbeing days. A menu that works for a diverse workforce.
Choose the right format
| Format | Best for | From |
|---|---|---|
| Hot mains in eco-friendly boxes, delivered | Meetings and training rooms | £14 per person |
| A main plus two spring rolls from hot food stations | Team lunches and socials | £17 per person |
| Food stations with starters, two mains and staff | Parties and bigger events | £24 per person |
| Thai canapés handed round | Launches and receptions | £2 per canapé |
For example, a served lunch for 80 people from hot food stations starts at about £1,360. Corporate bookings have a minimum spend of £750, and repeat bookings are discounted.
Feeding a big team on time
The biggest worry with corporate catering is the queue. We size the number of serving points to your headcount and serve up to five guests a minute, around 300 an hour, so a large team can eat within a normal lunch break. Food is cooked in batches through service so it stays hot and fresh.
For London offices we confirm loading bays, delivery windows, lifts and security sign-in in advance, so arrival is smooth even in a busy City or Canary Wharf building.
One menu for every diet in the room
In any office somebody is vegan, somebody is gluten-free, somebody does not eat pork and somebody has a nut allergy. Thai food handles this better than most cuisines. Most dishes can be made with tofu, rice and rice noodles are naturally gluten-free, and halal options are available on request. Every tray is labelled for the 14 major allergens.
Paperwork for facilities and procurement
We can send everything your facilities or procurement team needs before the event: our 5-star food hygiene rating, £5 million public liability insurance certificate, gas safety certificate, PAT test records, risk assessment and allergen matrix. We invoice the company and can work to purchase orders.
A simple planning checklist
- Headcount, date and the time food needs to be ready
- Address, access, parking and any loading bay or security rules
- Where we can set up, and whether there is a kitchen or power nearby
- Dietary requirements and allergies
- Purchase order number and invoice details
