Planning your event in Rivenhall
Rivenhall has grown a lot in recent years, with 35% of its homes built since 2000. Newer estates mean lots of young families, so children's birthdays, christenings and housewarmings are common bookings here.
About two thirds homes in Rivenhall (70%) are detached or semi-detached, so most hosts have a garden or driveway to work with. That suits our street food set-up: a gazebo and cooking station on the lawn or patio, with guests helping themselves from the food station.
Any venue in Rivenhall, indoors or out
Around Rivenhall we cook at village greens and halls, farmland marquees, pub gardens and business parks. The Braintree district is also home to Great Notley Country Park, Paycocke's House and Coggeshall Grange Barn, Finchingfield's green and windmill and Braintree Village shopping outlet.
The drive from our kitchen is about 13 miles via the A120, A12 and A131, roughly 30 minutes, and travel is always included in your quote rather than added on later. For guests coming by train: Witham and Kelvedon are on the main line, with a branch line to Braintree.

Questions
Thai catering in Rivenhall: FAQs
Travel to Rivenhall is included in every quote
Witham and Kelvedon are on the main line, with a branch line to Braintree
Do venues in Rivenhall need a kitchen?
No. We bring our own cooking equipment, certified gas and serving stations, or cook from our food van, so barns, marquees, gardens, fields and halls without kitchens are all fine. We just need a reasonably flat spot close to where guests will eat.
How far ahead should I book for an event in Rivenhall?
Summer Saturdays and December dates book up months ahead, so get in touch as soon as you have a date. For weekday lunches and smaller parties, a couple of weeks is often enough. A 20% deposit secures the date.
Can you cater for vegan, gluten-free, halal and allergy needs?
Yes. Every menu includes vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free dishes at no extra cost, halal chicken is available on request and every dish is labelled for the 14 major allergens. Mild versions are available for children.
What is included in the price?
Cooking fresh on site, serving, eco-friendly bamboo plates, cutlery and napkins, set-up, clear-down and travel. Standard service runs for two hours, and extra time can be added.
Can guests get to an event in Rivenhall by train?
Yes, Witham station is close to the centre of Rivenhall, so guests can travel by train and we can time the food around their arrival.
Do you cater in Rivenhall?
Yes. Rivenhall is about 13 miles from our kitchen in Chelmsford and we cater weddings, parties, office events and food van bookings there, with travel included in the quote.

What our clients say
Every one of our 66 Google reviews is five stars. A few of them, in our clients' own words:
“They tailored their menu to us completely, adding a curry dish that is meaningful to us, and making sure the starters were vegan so all our guests could enjoy them… Most of our guests commented on how much they loved the food.”
“I booked Mihai and Nok for my mum's 60th birthday… they adapted their starters into canapés style plates for our casual dining event. Everyone was raving about the food and we didn't have any guests going hungry!”
“All of our guests loved the Thai buffet and we had lots of comments on the high quality. Mihai and his team were discreet and cracked on using the facilities the hall had… brilliant with some of the more complex dietary requirements.”
