Hosting in Orsett, made easy
Orsett has grown a lot in recent years, with 34% of its homes built since 2000. Newer estates mean lots of young families, so children's birthdays, christenings and housewarmings are common bookings here.
Orsett has plenty of larger family homes, with room for a bigger guest list at home. In bigger houses we can serve indoors in the kitchen or conservatory and cook outside, keeping cooking smells out of the house.
About two thirds homes in Orsett (66%) are detached or semi-detached, so most hosts have a garden or driveway to work with. That suits our street food set-up: a gazebo and cooking station on the lawn or patio, with guests helping themselves from the food station.
Any venue in Orsett, indoors or out
Around Orsett we cook at warehouses and logistics offices, hotels, family gardens and community halls. Thurrock is also home to Tilbury Fort, the Port of Tilbury and London Gateway, Lakeside and Orsett Hall.
The drive from our kitchen is about 20 miles via the A13, A1089 and M25, roughly 45 minutes, and travel is always included in your quote rather than added on later. For guests coming by train: c2c serves Grays, Tilbury, Purfleet, Chafford Hundred, Stanford-le-Hope and East Tilbury.

Thai catering in Orsett: FAQs
Travel to Orsett is included in every quote
c2c serves Grays, Tilbury, Purfleet, Chafford Hundred, Stanford-le-Hope and East Tilbury
Do venues in Orsett need a kitchen?
No. We bring our own cooking equipment, certified gas and serving stations, or cook from our food van, so barns, marquees, gardens, fields and halls without kitchens are all fine. We just need a reasonably flat spot close to where guests will eat.
How far ahead should I book for an event in Orsett?
Summer Saturdays and December dates book up months ahead, so get in touch as soon as you have a date. For weekday lunches and smaller parties, a couple of weeks is often enough. A 20% deposit secures the date.
Can you cater for vegan, gluten-free, halal and allergy needs?
Yes. Every menu includes vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free dishes at no extra cost, halal chicken is available on request and every dish is labelled for the 14 major allergens. Mild versions are available for children.
What is included in the price?
Cooking fresh on site, serving, eco-friendly bamboo plates, cutlery and napkins, set-up, clear-down and travel. Standard service runs for two hours, and extra time can be added.
Do you cater in Orsett?
Yes. Orsett is about 20 miles from our kitchen in Chelmsford and we cater weddings, parties, office events and food van bookings there, with travel included in the quote.
How much does Thai catering cost in Orsett?
Packages start from £14 per guest for mains in eco-friendly boxes, £17 for a main and two spring rolls from hot food stations and £24 for full food stations with two staff. The quote for Orsett includes travel and shows the full price per guest. There is a minimum spend of £750, or £1,000 for the food truck.

What our clients say
Every one of our 66 Google reviews is five stars. A few of them, in our clients' own words:
“They tailored their menu to us completely, adding a curry dish that is meaningful to us, and making sure the starters were vegan so all our guests could enjoy them… Most of our guests commented on how much they loved the food.”
“I booked Mihai and Nok for my mum's 60th birthday… they adapted their starters into canapés style plates for our casual dining event. Everyone was raving about the food and we didn't have any guests going hungry!”
“All of our guests loved the Thai buffet and we had lots of comments on the high quality. Mihai and his team were discreet and cracked on using the facilities the hall had… brilliant with some of the more complex dietary requirements.”
