Tendring has grown a lot in recent years, with 35% of its homes built since 2000. Newer estates mean lots of young families, so children's birthdays, christenings and housewarmings are common bookings here.

Almost all homes in Tendring (90%) are detached or semi-detached, so most hosts have a garden or driveway to work with. That suits our street food set-up: a gazebo and cooking station on the lawn or patio, with guests helping themselves from the food station.

Tendring has plenty of larger family homes, with room for a bigger guest list at home. In bigger houses we can serve indoors in the kitchen or conservatory and cook outside, keeping cooking smells out of the house.

Around Tendring we cook at village halls, country houses, port and town halls and garden marquees. The Tendring district is also home to Frinton's Greensward, Harwich's Ha'penny Pier and old town, St Osyth Priory and Mistley Towers and the Stour estuary.

The drive from our kitchen is about 37 miles via the A120 and A133, roughly 70 minutes, and travel is always included in your quote rather than added on later. For guests coming by train: the Sunshine Coast line serves Clacton and Walton, and the Mayflower line serves Manningtree and Harwich.
