What to know about Thai street food van hire in Braintree
Braintree is a large place with about 19,610 households. A town this size has every kind of venue, from function rooms and sports clubs to offices and community centres, and we have the capacity for big guest lists.
Braintree station is under a mile from the centre of Braintree. Guests can arrive by train, which keeps parking simple and lets everyone enjoy a drink.
Braintree has grown a lot in recent years, with 26% of its homes built since 2000. New-build gardens are often compact, so a buffet indoors with food cooked on our station outside works best.
Where our food van can park in Braintree
Our horse-box food van needs a level pitch about the size of two parking bays and a clear route in. It is fully self-contained with its own gas and equipment, so power and water on site are a bonus rather than a must.
Around Braintree, that could be a garden, a driveway, a farm field, a school field or an event site.
The drive from our kitchen is about 14 miles via the A120, A12 and A131, roughly 35 minutes, and travel is always included in your quote rather than added on later. For guests coming by train: Witham and Kelvedon are on the main line, with a branch line to Braintree.
Build your Thai street food van hire menu

Questions
Thai Food Truck Hire in Braintree: FAQs
Travel to Braintree is included in every quote
Witham and Kelvedon are on the main line, with a branch line to Braintree
Do you need power or water?
We are largely self-sufficient and cook on our own certified gas. We talk through power and water with you or the venue when we plan the event.
Can guests pay for their own food?
Our main service is pre-paid by the host per guest, which suits weddings and private events. For fêtes and public events, send us the expected numbers and we will discuss options.
How much does food van hire in Braintree cost?
Pre-paid food van service starts from £14 per guest, with a minimum spend of £1,000. Travel from Chelmsford to Braintree is included in your quote.
How much space does the food van need in Braintree?
We need a reasonably flat spot about the size of two parking bays that the van can reach, on hardstanding or firm grass, with room for a queue. Send us a photo or a map pin and we will confirm it works.
Do venues in Braintree need a kitchen?
No. Around Braintree the venues include castle and country house venues, village greens and halls and farmland marquees, and many have no catering kitchen. We bring our own cooking equipment and certified gas, or the food van, and only need a reasonably flat spot near your guests.
How far ahead should I book for an event in Braintree?
For a summer wedding or a Christmas party in Braintree, months rather than weeks. Office lunches and smaller parties can often be arranged within a fortnight. A 20% deposit confirms your booking.
