Planning Thai street food van hire in Felsted
Felsted has grown a lot in recent years, with 56% of its homes built since 2000. Newer estates mean lots of young families, so children's birthdays, christenings and housewarmings suit the area.
Felsted has plenty of larger family homes, with room for a bigger guest list at home. In bigger houses we can serve indoors in the kitchen or conservatory and cook outside, keeping cooking smells out of the house.
The nearest station, Braintree, is about 5 miles away, so most guests arrive by car. With most guests driving, it helps to plan parking and leave a clear route for our van to reach the cooking area.
Food van access in Felsted
Our horse-box food van needs a level pitch about the size of two parking bays and a clear route in. It is fully self-contained with its own gas and equipment, so power and water on site are a bonus rather than a must.
Around Felsted, that could be a garden, a driveway, a farm field, a school field or an event site.
The drive from our kitchen is about 11 miles via the M11, A120 and B184, roughly 25 minutes, and travel is always included in your quote rather than added on later. For guests coming by train: Audley End, Newport and Stansted Mountfitchet are on the line to London Liverpool Street and Cambridge.
Your menu, your way

A good start is Isaan Thai Green Curry, Gai Satay and Veg Gun Peacemaker stir fry with spring rolls and Sukhumvit Pad Thai, but every menu is built around your guests, with vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free dishes and clear allergen labels on everything.

Questions
Thai Food Truck Hire in Felsted: FAQs
Travel to Felsted is included in every quote
Audley End, Newport and Stansted Mountfitchet are on the line to London Liverpool Street and Cambridge
Can guests pay for their own food?
Our main service is pre-paid by the host per guest, which suits weddings and private events. For fêtes and public events, send us the expected numbers and we will discuss options.
How much does food van hire in Felsted cost?
Pre-paid food van service starts from £14 per guest, with a minimum spend of £1,000. Travel from Chelmsford to Felsted is included in your quote.
How much space does the food van need in Felsted?
We need a reasonably flat spot about the size of two parking bays that the van can reach, on hardstanding or firm grass, with room for a queue. Send us a photo or a map pin and we will confirm it works.
Do you need power or water?
We are largely self-sufficient and cook on our own certified gas. We talk through power and water with you or the venue when we plan the event.
Do venues in Felsted need a kitchen?
Not at all. Whether it is country estates or barn and tithe barn venues in Felsted, we arrive with cooking stations, gas and serving kit and cook on site, so the venue's own kitchen does not matter.
How far ahead should I book for an event in Felsted?
Summer Saturdays and December dates in Felsted book up months ahead, so get in touch as soon as you have a date. For weekday lunches and smaller parties, a couple of weeks is often enough. A 20% deposit secures the date.
