What to know about Thai street food van hire in Loughton
Loughton is a large place with about 13,873 households. A town this size has every kind of venue, from function rooms and sports clubs to offices and community centres, and we have the capacity for big guest lists.
Around 25% of homes in Loughton are flats, so many hosts here book a local hall, a pub function room or a communal space, and we come to them. For flats without outdoor space we serve a hot buffet in chafing dishes, cooked fresh and delivered ready to eat.
Where our food van can park in Loughton
Our horse-box food van needs a level pitch about the size of two parking bays and a clear route in. It is fully self-contained with its own gas and equipment, so power and water on site are a bonus rather than a must.
Around Loughton, that could be a garden, a driveway, a farm field, a school field or an event site.
The drive from our kitchen is about 22 miles via the M11, M25 and A414, roughly 50 minutes, and travel is always included in your quote rather than added on later. For guests coming by train: the Central line serves Epping, Theydon Bois, Loughton, Debden, Buckhurst Hill and Chigwell.

Travel to Loughton is included in every quote
the Central line serves Epping, Theydon Bois, Loughton, Debden, Buckhurst Hill and Chigwell
How much does food van hire in Loughton cost?
Pre-paid food van service starts from £14 per guest, with a minimum spend of £1,000. Travel from Chelmsford to Loughton is included in your quote.
How much space does the food van need in Loughton?
We need a reasonably flat spot about the size of two parking bays that the van can reach, on hardstanding or firm grass, with room for a queue. Send us a photo or a map pin and we will confirm it works.
Do you need power or water?
We are largely self-sufficient and cook on our own certified gas. We talk through power and water with you or the venue when we plan the event.
Can guests pay for their own food?
Our main service is pre-paid by the host per guest, which suits weddings and private events. For fêtes and public events, send us the expected numbers and we will discuss options.
How much does Thai catering cost in Loughton?
For Loughton we quote per guest, with travel already in the price: from £14 for boxed mains, £17 with spring rolls served hot from food stations, or £24 for full food stations and two staff. Minimum spend is £750 (£1,000 for the food truck).
Do venues in Loughton need a kitchen?
No. Around Loughton the venues include country estates, golf clubs and barn venues, and many have no catering kitchen. We bring our own cooking equipment and certified gas, or the food van, and only need a reasonably flat spot near your guests.
