Christmas Party Catering in Thaxted

Planning Christmas party catering in Thaxted

Thaxted has plenty of character, with 29% of its homes built before 1919. Historic buildings often limit what can be cooked indoors, so we cook outside under our gazebo and serve inside.

Thaxted has plenty of larger family homes, with room for a bigger guest list at home. In bigger houses we can serve indoors in the kitchen or conservatory and cook outside, keeping cooking smells out of the house.

The nearest station, Elsenham, is about 5 miles away, so most guests arrive by car. With most guests driving, it helps to plan parking and leave a clear route for our van to reach the cooking area.

Party venues in and around Thaxted

Parties in and around Thaxted usually happen at garden marquees, village halls and airport hotels and offices, and we adapt the set-up to the space.

Indoors we serve a hot buffet in chafing dishes; outdoors we cook live at a gazebo station, which is half the entertainment.

December is our busiest month, so Christmas parties in Thaxted are best booked in October or November.

The drive from our kitchen is about 20 miles via the M11, A120 and B184, roughly 45 minutes, and travel is always included in your quote rather than added on later. For guests coming by train: Audley End, Newport and Stansted Mountfitchet are on the line to London Liverpool Street and Cambridge.
