What to know about Christmas party catering in Bradwell-on-Sea
Bradwell-on-Sea has plenty of character, with 34% of its homes built before 1919. Older places usually have a church hall, a village hall or a historic pub that makes a characterful venue, and we check the rules on cooking and power in advance.
The nearest station, Southminster, is about 5 miles away, so most guests arrive by car. Rural venues need a caterer who brings everything, and we arrive with our own gas, water containers and lighting.
Three in four homes in Bradwell-on-Sea (78%) are detached or semi-detached, so most hosts have a garden or driveway to work with. Gardens here suit a garden party with a cooking station on the patio and food served straight from the wok.
Hosting a party in Bradwell-on-Sea
Parties in and around Bradwell-on-Sea usually happen at sailing and yacht clubs, farm barns and village halls, and we adapt the set-up to the space.
We need a flat space about the size of a parking bay for the cooking station, or we cook nearby and bring the food in hot.
December is our busiest month, so Christmas parties in Bradwell-on-Sea are best booked in October or November.
The drive from our kitchen is about 23 miles via the A414, B1018 and B1010, roughly 50 minutes, and travel is always included in your quote rather than added on later. For guests coming by train: Maldon has no station; Burnham-on-Crouch and Southminster are on the Crouch Valley line.
