Planning Thai party catering in Felsted
Felsted has grown a lot in recent years, with 56% of its homes built since 2000. Newer estates mean lots of young families, so children's birthdays, christenings and housewarmings suit the area.
Felsted has plenty of larger family homes, with room for a bigger guest list at home. In bigger houses we can serve indoors in the kitchen or conservatory and cook outside, keeping cooking smells out of the house.
The nearest station, Braintree, is about 5 miles away, so most guests arrive by car. With most guests driving, it helps to plan parking and leave a clear route for our van to reach the cooking area.
Party venues in and around Felsted
Parties in and around Felsted usually happen at village halls, airport hotels and offices and country estates, and we adapt the set-up to the space.
Indoors we serve a hot buffet in chafing dishes; outdoors we cook live at a gazebo station, which is half the entertainment.
The drive from our kitchen is about 11 miles via the M11, A120 and B184, roughly 25 minutes, and travel is always included in your quote rather than added on later. For guests coming by train: Audley End, Newport and Stansted Mountfitchet are on the line to London Liverpool Street and Cambridge.
Your menu, your way

A good start is Royal Massaman Curry, Mango Sticky Rice and Sukhumvit Pad Thai with Gai Satay and Thai prawn crackers, but every menu is built around your guests, with vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free dishes and clear allergen labels on everything.

Questions
Party Catering in Felsted: FAQs
Travel to Felsted is included in every quote
Audley End, Newport and Stansted Mountfitchet are on the line to London Liverpool Street and Cambridge
Can you cater a party at my home in Felsted?
Yes. Homes and gardens are ideal for our cooking stations. We need a flat space about the size of a parking bay for our cooking station, or we can cook nearby and serve a buffet indoors.
What is the minimum number of guests?
There is a minimum spend of £750, which is about 30 guests on our food station package. For smaller gatherings, a private chef dinner for 6 to 12 guests may suit better.
Do you provide food for children?
Yes. Pad thai, chicken satay, spring rolls and mango sticky rice go down well with children, and we keep mild versions with chilli on the side.
How much does party catering in Felsted cost?
Party catering starts from £14 per guest. Travel to Felsted is included in your quote, which shows the full price per guest.
Do venues in Felsted need a kitchen?
Not at all. Whether it is country estates or barn and tithe barn venues in Felsted, we arrive with cooking stations, gas and serving kit and cook on site, so the venue's own kitchen does not matter.
How far ahead should I book for an event in Felsted?
Summer Saturdays and December dates in Felsted book up months ahead, so get in touch as soon as you have a date. For weekday lunches and smaller parties, a couple of weeks is often enough. A 20% deposit secures the date.
